A man was injured Tuesday in a shooting at a Northridge gas station. Police said the suspect was armed with a BB gun.
The incident happened around 6:20 a.m. at the Speedway gas station in the 19300 block of Parthenia Street, Los Angeles police said.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still unclear, but paramedics took the man to a nearby hospital in unknown condition after he was shot.
Investigators have not identified a suspect, who they describe as an adult male between 5’8″ and 5’10” with a heavy build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and was carrying a black handgun. He was last seen running north on Tampa Avenue on foot, police said.
After further investigation, it was determined that the weapon was actually a BB gun.
