A man died Saturday after he was shot while driving in Compton, after which he drove off and collided head-on with another driver.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting occurred just before 1 p.m. as the man was driving through the intersection of Bulls Road and Rosecrans Avenue.
He drove a short distance and collided with another car near the 1400 block of N. Long Beach Boulevard.
The still unknown victim was shot in the upper body, officers said.
The driver of the other car suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
No information was available about a motive or a suspect in the shooting.
