Maryland Senate Candidate Angela Alsobrooks Recalls Meeting Kamala Harris

Angela Alsobrooks, who is running to become Maryland’s first black female senator, told a story tonight about her first meeting with Kamala Harris. She recalled reading about Harris, then San Francisco’s district attorney, in Essence magazine. Two days after Alsobrooks won her own election, she got a phone call saying, “It’s Kamala Harris calling to congratulate me.”
