As for the article: “Almost $73 million coming for Amtrak.” I just returned from an Amtrak trip from Chicago to Flagstaff, Arizona.
I had never been on a train for so long. The staff was great. But when we had to catch our connecting train from Chicago to Milwaukee, it was delayed due to a mechanical repair.
More and more people are taking the train for long journeys and day trips. This cash injection will certainly make a major contribution to keeping this crucial means of transport running now and in the future.
