Mostly sunny, another cold day in Philadelphia on Saturday. Here is the weather forecast.

Saturday will be similar to Friday with lows in the teens and highs in the mid 30s, but another beautiful day with plenty of sunshine.

On Sunday we start with the thaw and warm-up.

The southwest wind is pushing us into the low 40s for the first time since last Saturday and only the seventh time this month. That seasonal pattern in the low to mid 40s will continue next week as we end January much warmer than it started.

Conditions look MUCH better for the Eagles game with some clouds early, but partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies by game time.

Compare that to last Sunday, with snow, or the game on the fifth against the Giants, when the windchills were in the single digits, this one should be pretty mild!

Temperatures will be in the 40s for a few days next week before another cold front moves through the region, bringing a slight chance of snow Wednesday evening and another shot of highs near freezing and lows in the teens.

January will definitely end with temperatures below normal!

Keep in mind that while you’re looking forward to all that mild air, it will also cause a major icy problem, with all our melting snow refreezing overnight.

Many of our rivers, large and small, are frozen and ice damming may also occur as the ice thaws and breaks up.
