The National Weather Service is predicting rain for the Louisville region in the coming days, starting Friday with precipitation chances through the weekend.
Multiple rain showers will roll through Kentucky regions on Friday, with up to half an inch expected in some areas, according to the agency. The greatest chances of precipitation are during the night from Saturday to Sunday.

NWS is predicting rain around Louisville in the coming days
Friday
There is a 100% chance of precipitation, with rain likely before 1pm and drizzle until 5pm. South-westerly winds around 5 to 16 km/h could reach gusts as high as 24 km/h with a high of 57 and a low of 53. Patchy drizzle is expected before 10pm and again after midnight, with mostly cloudy skies and southerly winds . About a quarter to half an inch of new rainfall is expected.
Saturday
After 1 p.m., there is likely a 30% chance of precipitation with mostly cloudy skies, a high near 64 degrees and southerly winds around 7 mph. Precipitation chances increase to 90% on Saturday night with showers, possible storms and new precipitation amounts between 1 and 5 centimeters. Low near 54.
Sunday
Highs near 60 with a low around 42. There is an 80% chance of precipitation with west winds of 6 to 10 mph and new rain amounts of between a quarter and a half inch are expected. Skies will be mostly cloudy and the chance of precipitation drops to 40%, most likely before 1 a.m.
Monday
Partly sunny with a high around 56 and a low around 48. There is a 60% chance of precipitation, with a chance of showers after 1 a.m. and skies will become cloudy.
