Nvidia’s surge didn’t come from private buyers, says Vanda

Individuals traded a net $2.5 billion worth of Nvidia Thursday, according to data from Vanda Research. However, total net purchases from private investors were only $43 million.

“In general, total net purchases from private investors have been relatively low over the past two months, but they are slowly picking up,” Vanda data chief Giacomo Pierantoni said in an email. “In the options space, net buying is close to zero – we are a long way from the speculative frenzy of 2020-21.”
