Oklahoma TikToker Hayden Ryel dies in crash after announcing hurricane relief trip to Florida

An Oklahoma man known for his TikTok videos died in a crash Wednesday after announcing he would drive to Florida to help with hurricane relief efforts.

Hayden Ryel, 20, of Hennessey, Oklahoma, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 70 between Martinsville and Marshall, Illinois, according to WTWO News in Farmersburg, Indiana.

Ryel was a member of the Dover Fire Department, according to the Facebook post announcing his death.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our own,” the department wrote. “Hayden will be greatly missed. Our thoughts go out to his family and our community during this difficult time. Rest in the mountain buddy we received from here!”

Ryel had a TikTok account dedicated to sharing content about his truck, with more than 50,000 followers.
