Nov. 10 – A man was shot and killed in the Chief Garry Park neighborhood Saturday morning, and police are trying to locate the suspect.
According to a press release from the Spokane Police Department, officers responded to the shooting in the area of Riverton Avenue and Lacey Street shortly after 10 a.m. Police found the gunshot victim and attempted to save his life, but he died at the scene.
Lacey Street was closed for several hours Saturday as detectives and other personnel worked the crime scene.
Detectives did not believe the shooting was random and police said there is no apparent danger to the community related to the shooting.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s office will release the name of the man who died.
The investigation is ongoing.
