A large police scene took place on a roadway in Dover on Friday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched to Claybrook Road around 11 a.m. for an “unwanted person” call.
When officers arrived, they found a man armed with a knife. The man barricaded himself in a house. Officers began to withdraw and attempted to de-escalate the situation, calling for mutual aid.
Metrolec was called for assistance and the man was taken into custody around 3 p.m.
There were no injuries to either party.
