According to Gaston County Emergency Medical Services, one person has died following a shooting in Lowell.
Medical officials said they received the call just before 4:30 p.m. at 307 South Church Street in Lowell.
At the scene, Gaston County Police found a man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the spot.

The identity of the suspect or victim has not yet been released.
Police say one person has been arrested in connection with the case.
