Lansing, Mich. – Organizers say that they will see hundreds of demonstrators on Wednesday of Michigan on Wednesday of Michigan as part of a national effort that was born on social media just in the past week to speak out en masse against the Trump government.

Sam Nelson, who helps to organize Wednesday’s demonstration and who works in the house of representatives of Michigan, made drawing on Tuesday afternoon. He told CBS News Detroit that he hopes to show people that they are not alone.

“We can come together from moments like this,” he said.

The meeting on Wednesday is intended as only one of 50, as people throughout the country also demonstrate in their own capitals.

“Here in Michigan we hope to show up a few hundred people and send a clear message to the Trump administration that both what they do within their legal scope is amoral, and the fact that some of their actions are clearly violating the law , “said Nelson.

If Wednesday’s events occur, this marks the first wide -scale demonstration during President Trump’s second term. Nelson said that he is very concerned about the changes in immigration, the impact of cutting large parts of the federal government and the impact on the car industry in Michigan.

“I understand that President Trump is within his authority to issue these rates, but it is unwise and immoral to have this tax increase on employees,” he said.

At the moment, the planned demonstration of Wednesday is not sponsored or coordinated by social organizations with a big name. The people who signed on Tuesday said they just hope to see a large group of like -minded individuals.

“Solidarity is a force that is stronger than gravity,” said Nelson. “I look forward to the different voices that we will go empowerment during the rally.”
