Voters are tentatively casting ballots for 10 elected members of the Chicago School Board, but the mayor still controls most seats on the board. Vallas, former CEO of the Chicago Public Schools, explains what kind of voice the voter will actually have in the school board. Vallas also says the Chicago Teachers Union has made a “major power grab” in recent years.
