Police investigate fatal daytime stabbing at Dorchester veterans’ transition home

An investigation is underway after a man died after a stabbing in Dorchester on Monday.

Officers responding to a report of a stabbing in the area of ​​6 Hartford Street, a veterans’ transition home, found a victim requiring emergency medical treatment, Boston police said.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His name has not been released.

In a statement, the Pine Street Inn said: “We are aware of an incident at 6 Hartford Street in Dorchester, which serves as temporary housing for veterans. As it is currently an ongoing police investigation, we are unable to provide any further information at this time.”
