PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police and University of Pennsylvania police raided the pro-Palestinian camp set up on College Green on Friday morning.

The encampment was entering its 16th day On Friday morning, police reportedly arrested several people.

Penn Police are warning those in the College Green Encampment to disperse immediately. If you do not take your belongings with you and leave within two minutes, you will be considered a defiant trespasser and will be arrested. If you leave now, you won’t be arrested. said Penn Public Safety in a message on X.

This comes less than 24 hours later Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro appealed the university to disband the encampment.

The encampment was set up because of the war between Israel and Hamas, and protesters are demanding that Penn cut ties with companies that support Israel.
