Police are asking the public for help in their search for the hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian in South Los Angeles on Friday.
According to Los Angeles police, the accident happened around 10 p.m. near the intersection of 88th Street and Central Avenue.
Officers were first called to the area after hearing reports of a pedestrian collision and arrived to find the person lying in the street. Despite life-saving efforts, the unidentified 43-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
When police arrived, the driver had already fled and has been missing since then, police said.
A fixed reward of $25,000 has been offered for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the suspect.
