Priscilla Presley says she and Riley Keough were ‘never’ on bad terms over Lisa Marie’s estate

Priscilla Presley sets the record straight through her recent legal dispute with granddaughter Riley Keough over the estate of late daughter Lisa Marie Presley.

The Dallas the actress claimed that there was no love lost between her and Keough after her decision to file a petition questioning the validity of her daughter’s will, which listed Keough as a beneficiary, shortly after the death of Lisa Marie at age 54 in January. In May, it was reported that Presley and Keough had reached an undisclosed settlement agreement.

In a Vanity purse cover story published earlier this month revealed that Keough had agreed to pay her grandmother $1 million, plus an additional $400,000 in legal fees, so that she would remain the sole beneficiary of the estate, which included Elvis Presley’s residence in Graceland and the family’s stock in Elvis Presley Enterprises.

After her mother’s sudden death, Keough explained to the paper that it took the whole family “a minute to understand the details of the situation because it’s complicated.” She added: “We’re a family, but there’s also a huge business side to our family. So I think clarity was needed.”

Keough commented, “Things with Grandma will be happy.” They’ve never been unhappy.’

The Daisy Jones and the Six actress described her grandmother as a “beautiful woman” and a “big part of creating my grandfather’s and Graceland’s legacy.”

“He was the love of her life,” she said. “Anything in the press that suggests otherwise saddens me, because at the end of the day, all she wants to do is love and protect Graceland, the Presley family, and the legacy. That’s her whole life.’
