Providence man charged with murder after Martin Luther King Day stabbing

PROVIDENCE – A Providence man was charged with murder Monday in the death of another man, Providence police said Tuesday.

Junior Medina Agosto, 30, will be arraigned in court this afternoon, said Lindsay Lague, chief public information officer for the Providence Department of Public Safety.

The incident happened at Bailey Court. WPRI reported it was a stabbing. The police were called around 7:26 p.m

Police have not released the name of the 36-year-old victim pending notification of family.
