Radisson Hotel Group changes name of prizeotel to Prize by Radisson

Radisson Hotel Group has announced the name change from prizeotel to Prize by Radisson, alongside the addition of new hotels in Central Europe.

The rebranding is expected to better align the affordable, design-led brand with the group’s values and strategy to create the ‘Yes I Can!’ guest experience.

It retains the brand’s original identity, but still offers a mid-range lifestyle experience at the price of a budget hotel.

The two new Prize by Radisson hotels are located in Germany and Poland.

These developments are part of the brand’s expansion into different contract formats, including leased, managed and franchised hotels, offering tailor-made solutions for different markets.

Connor Ryterski, General Manager of Prize by Radisson, said: “The rebranding of prizeotel to Prize by Radisson marks a pivotal moment in our growth strategy.

“With this move, we are excited to expand Prize by Radisson’s footprint and continue to deliver exceptional guest experiences to travelers in key central landmarks, while demonstrating to our owners the support, commercial excellence and security of belonging to an international hotel brand.”

Prize by Radisson, Berlin City, scheduled to open in 2027, will be a 315-room building part of a new mixed-use development in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg district.

The hotel is aiming for DGNB Gold certification, which reflects the brand’s ESG commitment, PrizePromise.

This property occupies approximately 60% of the site, with the top floor housing the hotel lobby, bar, social area with co-working space and breakfast restaurant, overlooking Berlin’s city centre.

Since its founding in Germany in 2009, Prize by Radisson has seen growth in 2022 with openings in Bonn, Vienna and Münster.

Prize by Radisson’s current portfolio includes 21 hotels in operation and development across Europe. Prize by Radisson in Osnabrück City is set to open next year.
