For now, Randy Moss is stepping away from ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown due to health reasons. Moss discussed the issue on last week’s show, explaining why he wore blue-tinted sunglasses on air.

In a statement released Friday, ESPN PR announced that Moss “will be away from the show for an extended period of time to focus on a personal health challenge.”

“He has the full support of ESPN and we look forward to welcoming him back when he is ready,” the network added in the statement.

The Hall of Fame wide receiver turned analyst opened last Sunday’s show by mentioning that he was “struggling with something internally” and would be wearing blue-tinted glasses on air as a result.

“I have some great doctors around me. I couldn’t miss the show, I wanted to be here with you guys, I feel great. But when y’all see me with these Michigan convertible glasses I have on, that’s not it case.” disrespectful,” Moss said Sunday. “I’m fighting something.”

In a video posted to Instagram on Sunday, Moss said he had been dealing with the “internal” problem all week of Thanksgiving, and encouraged people to contact their doctors.
