WASHINGTON – The Senate Financing Committee voted on Tuesday for the appointment of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to promote the entire Senate, so that he was brought a step closer to the confirmation of the health and human service secretary of President Donald Trump.

The last count was 14-13. Every Democrat in the committee voted against promoting the appointment of Kennedy, while every Republican voted in favor.

Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.), Who is a doctor, had previously asked questions about the record of Kennedy and was seen as a possible ‘no’ mood about his nomination. But in the end he joined his party and voted to promote Kennedy.

“I had very intense conversations with Bobby and the White House this morning and even this morning,” Cassidy said on social media on Tuesday prior to the mood. “With the serious obligations I received from the administration and the possibility to make progress about the issues we agree on, such as healthy food and a pro-American agenda, I will vote yes.”

Kennedy has attracted severe opposition to Democrats and external groups because of his long record of feeding conspiracies and anti-vaccine wrong information, as well as his plans for abortion medication. During his hearings from the Senate confirmation last week, Kennedy also failed basic facts about Medicare and Medicare -two programs he had viewed as HHS Secretary.

Kennedy is ‘uniquely unsuitable to serve as HHS-Secretary’, Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR.), The top democrat in the Financial Committee, said prior to the vote of the panel.

Wyden said that in the past four years, Kennedy has made 114 individual performances, where he has embraced anti-vaccine cases or spread incorrect information that covenant false vaccines with autism.

Senator Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) Said he was alerted when he heard that Trump said he hoped that Kennedy would be “wild” in his role as secretary of health and human services.

“Of all the things that I would like to see the secretary of health and human services do, ‘Go Wild’ is not on the list,” Warnock said.

The nomination of Kennedy is now going to the Senate floor.

This is a developing story. Come back for updates.
