Robert Castillo, St. Paul man who fatally stabbed his wife during Bible study, to be sentenced Friday

ST. PAUL, Minnesota. — A man who murdered his wife during a bible study The man convicted last year in St. Paul will find out Friday morning how much time he will spend in prison.

Robert Castillo40, pleaded guilty earlier this year to second-degree murder in the March 2023 fatal attack on 41-year-old Corinna Woodhull.

According to the complaint, at one point during the Bible study, which was led by Woodhull’s sister, Castillo whispered something to his wife and then began stabbing her.

Others at the Bible study restrained Castillo. A witness told police they were convinced he would have stabbed others if he had not been disarmed.

He faces a prison sentence of up to 40 years.
