The Buffalo Sabers have announced that forward Sam Lafferty will not return against the Vancouver Canucks due to a lower-body injury.

Lafferty joined the Sabers last offseason when he signed a two-year contract worth $4 million in free agency. This was after he spent the 2023-2024 season with the Canucks, where he scored 13 goals, 24 points and 191 hits in 79 games.
