Separate shootings in Rancho Cordova leave two men seriously injured, two of whom have been arrested

Separate shootings in Rancho Cordova late Monday and Tuesday morning left two men seriously injured and two people in custody.

A man was seriously injured but expected to survive Tuesday after a 7:30 a.m. shooting at his home in the 10000 block of Charbono Way, Sacramento County sheriff’s officials said. Officers arrested a woman believed to be in a relationship with the man in connection with the shooting. The man was taken to a hospital after being shot in the abdomen.

In an unrelated shooting about two miles west, a man was shot in the chest Monday evening outside a convenience store on the 10000 block of Mills Station Road.

The victim was recovering at a hospital, the Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday. Officers also said a juvenile, believed to be the shooter, was in custody.

Both shootings remain under investigation.
