The couple quietly revealed the arrival of their second baby girl in a TikTok video on Tuesday
Serena Williams is a mother of two!
The tennis icon, 41, and husband of tech entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian have welcomed their second baby girl, the couple shared on Instagram on Tuesday.
“Welcome, Adira River Ohanian,” the new father-of-two captioned a family photo revealing their daughter’s name.
“I am grateful to report that our home is teamed with love: a happy and healthy newborn girl and a happy and healthy mama. I feel grateful. @serenawilliams, you have now given me another incomparable gift – you are the GMOAT, he wrote. .
“Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife and our daughter 🙏 I’ll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her little sister.”
He concluded the post with a quote, writing, “Your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.”

The couple first revealed their baby news on TikTok Tuesday, where Williams shared a video that begins with the family sitting at a table, with daughter Olympia, 5 next month, leaning on Williams as Ohanian, 40, types on a laptop for them.
Williams then gets up and says she’ll be right back, returning with a tightly swaddled newborn. As she nestles back between her husband and daughter, they both lean against her, looking at the child in her arms. The video ends with Polaroid-style shots of the new family of four.
Ohanian spoke to PEOPLE about his recent partnership with Sharpie and beamed how excited Olympia is about having a younger sibling.
“No one is more excited than she is,” the proud dad shared. “She has longed for this. She’s been praying and asking about this for quite some time now, so she’s ready.”
Ohanian also shared that he felt more confident welcoming baby No. 2 than he did on his first appearance as a father.

“We’re not new parents anymore. I’m more confident about having a newborn, all those things I just wasn’t confident with Olympia, because I had never been around babies at that point in my life, he explained.
“We are of course also taking all precautions and doing everything we can to ensure that everything runs smoothly for Serena.”
