SLO man arrested after allegedly threatening store employees

A San Luis Obispo man was arrested for allegedly threatening employees at a business on the 1100 block of Garden Street on Thursday, according to a San Luis Obispo Police Department press release.

Police said the man, identified as 54-year-old Joseph Anthony Quinn, entered the business at approximately 7:14 a.m. and threatened to kill the employees, while knocking over large glass display cabinets.

Police were called to the scene but were unable to locate the suspect, who left on foot before they arrived.

On Friday, police located Quinn on Osos and Palm. He was arrested without incident and booked into San Luis Obispo County jail.

Quinn is facing charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon, felony vandalism and felony criminal threats. He is currently being held on $50,000 bail.
