State police trooper rescues puppies from road in Ohio

An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper added puppy caretaker status to her resume when she rescued a group of puppies on a road in Huron County.

In June, OSHP posted bodycam footage from Officer Halle Paris at the Norwalk Post on its Facebook page that showed multiple puppies lying in the road.

In the video, she can be heard saying, “Watch out for the dog, watch out for the dog, watch out for the dog,” as a car drives by.

Officer Paris turns her police car around and happily leads the puppies back home.

She manages to herd them into their kennel and closes the open garage door to prevent the other dogs from escaping.

“The puppies escaped while their owner was away. Luckily, Tpr. Paris was there to save the day!” the post read.

According to the video, the homeowner was contacted by dispatch and returned home to care for the puppies.
