Reality TV contestant Stephen Bear has been sentenced to 21 months in prison for sharing a private video of him having sex with his ex-partner.
Bear, 33, shared CCTV footage of himself and Love Island star Georgia Harrison, which was uploaded to OnlyFans.
He had caused her “extensive humiliation and embarrassment,” the judge said.
Ms Harrison said she had been through “absolute hell” since 2020.
“Today’s verdict is a confirmation of what I have had to endure and sends a clear signal that the police and the courts are taking this case very seriously,” she told reporters outside Chelmsford Crown Court.
“I want to let all other victims of this crime know that I stand in solidarity with them and that I have absolutely no regrets about relinquishing my anonymity.
“I hope this deters someone from committing this type of crime and I hope for anyone who has been victimized by it that it gives them some kind of justice.”
Bear was found guilty in December of voyeurism and publishing private photos and videos.
Prior to his sentencing, he posed for a selfie outside the courthouse and began singing Lady In Red to a reporter in a red coat.
As he was led to the cells, he raised his hand to wave from the secure jetty and said, ‘Have a nice evening. Everyone enjoy the weekend.’
The Public Prosecution Service (CPS) said he had shown a “utter lack of remorse”.
Bear was given a restraining order not to contact Ms. Harrison for five years, appearing in The Only Way Is Essex and Olivia Meets Her Match.
He was also ordered to sign the sex offender registry and will be required to report for 10 years.
Prosecutor Jacqueline Carey KC told in an earlier trial that Ms. Harrison and Bear had consensual sex at his home in Loughton, Essex, but Ms. Harrison was unaware they were being recorded.
Ms Harrison said when Bear showed her the footage she told him “never send it to anyone” and “made it clear how upset she would be if he did,” the prosecution said.
The victim said she saw Bear send the footage to someone on WhatsApp later that day, and later that year she was made aware that it was circulating online.
Ms Carey said Bear had the footage “uploaded himself or had it uploaded to OnlyFans and benefited financially”.
Judge Christopher Morgan, sentencing, said the disgraced reality television personality “wanted to exploit the economic value of the recording” as Ms. Harrison “would have been known and recognized by many people”.
After the hearing, Hannah von Dadelszen, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of CPS East of England, said: “I would like to commend Georgia Harrison for the courage and determination she has shown in this case.
Stephen Bear, on the other hand, showed a total lack of remorse by never accepting responsibility for his abusive behavior, even going so far as to blame Mrs. Harrison.
Although she leads a public life, Georgia Harrison has a right to privacy.
“But that was taken away by Bear to make money in the most egregious way.”
