Still in the Christmas spirit? Here are holiday activities you can do after December 25

If you’re still feeling holiday-minded after your wrapping paper has been recycled and your leftovers have been put away, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate.

Here is a list of holiday activities in and near Fort Collins that you can enjoy on or after December 27.

Take a look at these Christmas light displays

Winter Wonder Lights at Chapungu Sculpture Park in Loveland: The free nighttime light show is open through January 1 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Take a walk through the half-hour musical light show and enjoy the various photo opportunities. The Chapungu Sculpture Park is located at 5995 Sky Pond Drive, Loveland (east of the Promenade Shops at Centerra).

Drive-thru lighting in Winter Wonderland at Colorado Youth Outdoors: Drive through this 15-minute nature-themed light show, open every evening through December 31. Admission is $25 per car and proceeds benefit Colorado Youth Outdoors – a Northern Colorado nonprofit that aims to strengthen relationships between youth and their parents through outdoor recreation. The exhibit is located on the organization’s 220-acre site at 4927 County Road 36. Tickets are available on the Colorado Youth Outdoors website.

Garden of Lights in the Gardens at Spring Creek: Explore the half-mile loop through the illuminated Botanical Gardens and enjoy the evening’s live entertainment while sipping hot chocolate or another drink from the full bar. The exhibit is open nightly through December 29 and a full entertainment schedule can be found on the City of Fort Collins website. Admission is $12 for children 12 and older, $8 for children 5 to 11, and free for children under 4. Admission for this event is timed and recommended tickets must be purchased in advance online.

Denver Zoo Lighting: The Denver Zoo will remain decked out in Christmas lights through January 4. Tickets on peak nights cost $30 for people ages 16 to 64, $21 for people ages 3 to 15, and $28 for people 65 and older. On non-peak nights, tickets cost $25 for people ages 16 to 64, $18 for people ages 3 to 15, and $25 for people 65 and older. Children up to 2 years old are free. You can purchase tickets on the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance website.

Go ice skating

Winter in Whoville at Edora Pool and Ice Center: This family-friendly skating event with Dr. Seuss Theme takes place on December 29 from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. Skate next to Dr. Seuss characters and enjoy hot chocolate and other concessions. Admission is $10 per person or $25 per family (excluding skate rentals), with proceeds going to the Fort Collins Figure Skating Club Spring Ice Extravaganza Ice Show, scheduled for May 10. This event is limited to 150 skaters.

Skating rink on the Old Town Square: The free figure skating rink on Old Town Square is open on weekends until the end of January.

Other holiday activities:

Christmas Town at Julian’s: The Christmas Town display will be on display through Jan. 4 at Julian’s, 137 S. College Ave.. The intricately designed holiday village is a heartwarming and festive display to stop and look at or take a stroll through downtown Fort Collins makes.

‘A Christmas Story’ at The Lyric: Keep the holiday spirit going by attending a screening of “A Christmas Story” at The Lyric on December 26 at 7 p.m.
