WR JALEN COOPER

Jalen Cooper put his best foot forward this week in his hometown of San Antonio. The four-star signee out of SMU scored a touchdown on a 91-yard catch and run in the Navy All-American Bowl and walked away with Rivals MVP honors after Cooper separated from the pack in practice all week. Cooper can break away from defensive backs with ease, and that theme continued in a big way in Saturday’s game. He’s quick in and out of his breaks with fantastic body control and breakaway speed for days. The future Pony widely asserted itself as one of the best in the country.

THE IOSE EPENESA

Iose Epenesa was the Rivals MVP during Day 2 of All-American Bowl practices after playing like he was shot out of a cannon during a live game. Throughout the week and during Saturday’s game, the Iowa signee fired the ball and moved off the edge with extreme ease. The future Hawkeye blew past opposing tackles from both the left and right sides, winning with speed and power, and showing his length and bend in the end. Epensa often created pressure in the game environment and achieved some easy wins in practice by making a number of attacking tackles with his inside move. The NFL bloodlines combined with Epenesa’s position versatility working through the EDGE and projectable traits elsewhere on the DL are needle movers as we adjust the latest Rivals250.

DL AMARE ADAMS

Amar Adams was among the top performers every training day and also came up with some big splash plays and pressure in Saturday’s match. The Clemson signee improved his play as the week progressed. The 6-foot-1, 300-plus pounder fires the ball with authority and demonstrated his power by moving opposing offensive linemen at will. Adams took full advantage of his height – his 3-foot arms – and bullied the opposing interior OL. He is an absolute mismatch within the defensive front with his natural strength and his projectable frame and attributes, and has continued to perform well in live competitions. He is someone who is in for a huge blow after a statement week in San Antonio.

CB CHUCK MCDONALD

Chuck McDonald made a compelling case as one of the nation’s top cornerbacks, earning plenty of highlights and big plays in live competitions throughout the week. During Day 2 of the Navy AAB competition, McDonald had a banner day in coverage, breaking on routes, performing extremely well in coverage and catching an interception during the 7-on-7 portion of the joint workouts. The West Coast native of Alabama has excellent length and a filled frame, and he can adapt very well to the ball. McDonald was sticky in coverage outside the numbers and in the middle of the field, shadowing receivers at will during Saturday’s game.

WR QUINCY PORTER

Quincy Porter is a prospect at wide receiver and has put himself straight into the five-star conversation after a statement week in San Antonio. The future Buckeye is a sight to behold at 6-foot-1 and nearly 200 pounds. He navigates the field with ease and plays well in contested catching situations. Porter has solidity to his game and is impressive with his polished and college-ready frame. In Saturday’s game, Porter made an excellent return to football. He made several Wow grabs and plays with the stone in his hand. The New Jersey stock riser broke through for two big YAC plays in the match. The Ohio State signee is tough to tackle in the open field and a real threat on the perimeter like few receivers in this class.

CB KADE PHILLIPS

Kade Philips comes off a stellar senior campaign working on both sides of the ball for Fort Bend (Texas) Hightower and that translated directly into Navy AAB Week in San Antonio. The four-star signee from Texas was a ballhawk in practice one week and flew to the football on several other occasions with a willingness to be physical and make stops in the open field. At 6 feet tall and weighing nearly 180 pounds, Phillips has excellent hips and can turn and run with ease. His plus height and ball skills were on display in coverage in the field. He makes a strong case to continue rising in his position group after performing well in this setting time and time again.

OL MALACHI GOODMAN

Malachi Goodman was a force up front all week at 6-foot-1 and 315 pounds with great workouts and a very strong performance at the Alamodome on Saturday. The New Jersey blue chipper worked inside the Guard and was up to the task in a big way. Goodman has a wide, filled frame and plays low with leverage. He was the immovable object on the inside during the AAB Game as the Penn State signee showed up in a big way with active hands and leverage in his favor. Goodman has a physical playing style conducive to Big Ten football and is undoubtedly an OL after performing very well every day in San Antonio.

RB DRAMEKCO GREEN

Dramekco Green made a compelling case as the top running back during the week of Navy AAB exercises. The SMU signee from the Houston area showcased his burst out of the backfield and breakaway speed several times during practice, and especially during the live portion of the joint workouts. The future pony was fantastic at shaking off tacklers and extending play in the open field. He can change direction seamlessly. Green emphatically proved he belonged in this All-American game setting, and will see his stock rise after showing very well.

WR KALIQ LOCKETT

Kaliq Lockett had a huge junior season at Sachse (Texas) High that caught the attention of colleges across the country, and he recalled his upside during Navy AAB Week before heading to Austin to play for Steve Sarkisian. The future Longhorn tore up the competition in San Antonio and stood out as one of the elite pass catchers in this loaded 2025 cycle. The tall 6-foot-1, 180-pound WR has elite suddenness and is a professional route runner. Lockett was able to create separation and was explosive on his breaks. He is a nervous mover and comes to the field at a different pace. Lockett’s routes are second to none as he was fantastic at creating separation. The Texas signee is a true playmaker with WR1 ability.

ATH DALEN PENSON

Four star ATH Dalen Penson was a standout while playing cornerback during Navy AAB Wee, culminating in a statement performance in Saturday’s game. The Georgia Tech signee from the Peach State flew to football and is an active tackler, as well as showing as a shooter on special teams. However, he did his best work in coverage, shadowing bigger-frame receivers downfield and breaking on routes down the sideline and into the end zone. He is instinctive, can accelerate quickly and has elite straight line speed. His versatility and natural playmaking ability only strengthen our opinion of Penson as he moves into the secondary full-time. In a star-studded Georgia Tech 2025 signing class, Penson is a player we’re particularly excited about.
