EDINA, minor — A police chase ended in dramatic fashion in Edina Saturday morning when an allegedly stolen vehicle crashed into a tree.
Eden Prairie Police say the stolen Kia was seen driving east on Highway 212 near Prairie Center Drive in Eden Prairie around 9 a.m. at high speed.
Officers chased the Kia and were informed by the Carver County Sheriff’s Office that a Toyota Camry was believed to be traveling with the stolen vehicle.
The chase ended when the Kia crashed on Highway 62 near France Avenue in Edina, where state troopers had deployed stop sticks.
The four occupants were arrested and taken to hospital for examination.
The other vehicle involved continued to flee as officers pulled over before the accident, police say. The Toyota was also later determined to be stolen.
