PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Grab your sunglasses and get ready to enjoy the weekend! This is only the second weekend of summer with dry weather in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
The high heat and high humidity are gone, heavy rainfall and severe storms.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and Sunday will start with a few clouds and a clear to mostly sunny sky. A dry and cooler northwesterly wind will keep temperatures between 80 and 86 degrees in the area.
It’s a great day to take the dog for a walk, do some outdoor sports or grab a table on the terrace of your favourite restaurant.
The only downside to our weather is the intermittent clouds and fog along the Jersey Shore. These clouds come and go over the weekend.
On Saturday night, temperatures in Philly and the Shore will drop to over 63 degrees Fahrenheit, while the Lehigh Valley will experience a cool 59 degrees Fahrenheit.
And the dry sunny weather doesn’t stop on Sunday. The coming week looks mostly sunny and dry with temperatures slightly below average, in the low to mid 80’s.
Looking further into the future, the Climate Prediction Center has indicated that our region has a chance of lower than normal temperatures over the next two weeks.
