HOLLAND TWP. – The suspect in a domestic violence incident in Holland Township remains at large after fleeing on Monday, December 2.
According to a news release from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, officers were dispatched to Windmill Lakes Apartments around 4 p.m. after a witness reported a woman jumping out of a window and fleeing an apartment.
Upon arrival, officers learned that the 23-year-old woman had been attacked by a 31-year-old male acquaintance, allegedly armed with a handgun. The woman was injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. No shots were fired during the incident, OCSO said.
The apartment was evacuated by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office Critical Response Team, but the suspect was not found. The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact OCSO or Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT (745368) or mosotips.com.
