Tarpon Springs police are investigating a deadly shooting at an apartment complex

One person was killed Monday evening in a shooting at an apartment complex in Tarpon Springs, police said.

Officers responded to a shooting call in the 1300 block of Starlight Cove at the Riverside Apartments around 8 p.m. and found an unconscious person, Tarpon Springs police said. The person was pronounced dead at Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center.

Investigators were in the process of notifying the victim’s family before the person’s name was released, police said.

Police have made no arrests in the shooting and have asked anyone with information to call Detective Melton at 727-938-2849.

The department has not released any further information.
