The cold reality sets in on Tuesday, with cold winds being the rule in the Philadelphia region.
High temperatures will be near freezing, but wind chills will likely remain in the teens all day: maybe an occasional spot of 20 degrees or so, but still another frigid day. The sky will be a mix of sun and clouds.
Wednesday and Thursday will remain cold in the 30s with sunshine and clouds and wind chills each day.

MLK holiday weekend
That little warmup comes just in time if you want to avoid snow in the Philadelphia region.
We’ll be tracking another storm next Saturday for the start of the Martin Luther King Jr. long holiday weekend.
Highs on Saturday will be in the 40s, with a chance of rain later that day. The system looks to bring mostly rain, although it could end with some snow for the Poconos late Saturday evening.

On Sunday we should be dry in time for the Philadelphia Eagles’ divisional round game against the Los Angeles Rams. Skies will be mostly cloudy and temperatures will be cooler in the upper 30s. On the holiday Monday, highs will only be in the mid-30s under partly cloudy skies.
