The fate of Pitt’s tournament to committee after Saturday’s slate is going perfectly

The Pitt Panthers needed a few things to get done for them on Saturday and luckily for them, it all happened.

The Panthers entered the tournament bubble on Saturday, so what could have killed Pitt were Cinderella teams unexpectedly winning their conference tournament and stealing a bid.

Ohio State, Cincinnati, Vanderbilt, Tulane, and UAB were all still able to win their conference tournament, which would have hurt Pitt’s chances, but all of those teams lost.

Now, Pitt’s fate now rests in the hands of the tournament committee, which will examine the resumes of all teams that have them on the bubble.
