A high-speed chase involving a stolen police vehicle ended with a barricade in Lakewood Monday evening.
Around 11:30 p.m., Huntington Beach Police Department officers stopped a driver on multiple warrants.

During the arrest, the man grabbed one of the patrol vehicles and drove away. A high-speed chase was initiated.
As the driver tried to get away, he tried to hit the two officers, the HBD said.
About 3 hours into the chase, the driver got out of the vehicle and barricaded himself somewhere near Claretta Avenue and Centralia Street in Lakewood.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s, Seal Beach and Huntington Beach police responded to the scene. The man was arrested and taken to hospital with minor injuries.
It is unclear how the man got away during the arrest. No officers were injured in the incident.
