Authorities say one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a Long Beach shooting.
Officers responded to the shooting in the 1900 block of Luray Street before 11 p.m. Saturday.
Upon arrival, they found evidence that a shooting had taken place and were notified of a victim who transported herself to a hospital in the area.
“The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had a physical altercation with an unidentified male suspect, which escalated when the suspect shot the victim,” police said. “The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction before officers arrived.”
The incident remains under investigation.
