HOLLAND – Residents of the Netherlands are asked to take shelter in their places after an early shooting on Friday morning.
At around 3:15 a.m. on March 3, Holland Department of Public Safety officers were dispatched to an apartment at Abbey Court near Stratford Way for a shooting.
Officers who arrived on the scene found a gunshot. Their condition is unknown.
It’s unclear what preceded the shooting, but Captain Keith Mulder of the Holland Department of Public Safety said police believe it was not a random shooting and that the suspect was known to the victim.
HDPS is working to find the shooter and is asking those living nearby to take shelter in place. He is considered armed and dangerous.
The man is described as black, 5ft 6in tall and wearing a dark colored hoodie and cycling shorts or sweatpants.
