In his new book “The Barn,” author Wright Thompson, also a fifth-generation cotton farmer in the Mississippi Delta, investigates the scene of the infamous 1955 murder of 14-year-old Emmett Till. Correspondent Jim Axelrod talks to Thompson about clarifying of injustice and a culture in the Mississippi Delta that, Thompson says, spent decades trying to erase a terrible crime; and visits the barn, which still stands, where Till was beaten to death.
