HOLTSVILLE, NY — Two people were killed in a ghost accident on the Long Island Expressway last night.
It happened shortly after 12:30 p.m. Thursday on the border between Holtsville and Farmingville in Suffolk County.
Police said Thomas Raimondo, of Holbrook, was in a pickup truck traveling east across the westbound lanes when he collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Jose Ferreira, of West Babylon.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
There’s no word on why the pickup went the wrong way.
