Three teens arrested after early morning police chase ended in Milton’s front yard

Three teens were arrested early Saturday morning after a police chase that started in Avon ended in someone’s front yard in Milton.

A state police officer attempted to stop a 2012 Toyota RAV4 with no license plate or rear bumper that was traveling northbound on Route 24 in Avon, according to an MSP spokesman. The suspect refused to stop and raced north on Route 24.

Another trooper positioned further down Route 24 deployed a stop stick and damaged the tires on the left side of the speeding car.

Despite the damaged tires, the vehicle continued to travel on North 24 and eventually ended up on Route 93 North. The RAV4 finally came to rest on Trout Brook Avenue in Milton. The five occupants got out of the vehicle as troopers entered.

A 16-year-old girl from Brockton, a 17-year-old boy from Dorchester and Hildo Pina-Vaz, an 18-year-old from Roxbury, were arrested and taken into custody. Two of the car’s occupants managed to escape police after a search by K9 teams.
