Phoenix police are seeking the public’s help after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death during a fight in Ahwatukee in the early morning of Nov. 16.
Officers responded to a residential area near Lakewood Parkway and 38th Street shortly after 3 a.m. after receiving calls about a teenager who had been stabbed during a fight between two groups of minors, said Sgt. Brian Bower.
Officers found 15-year-old Jaylen Reeves with a critical stab wound. Reeves was rushed to a hospital where he was treated for life-threatening injuries, but died later that evening.
Bower said Reeves was hanging out with a group of friends when he got into an argument with one or more people, which ended in a stabbing.
