A crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 270 injured one person Tuesday morning and caused traffic bottlenecks for commuters in the Washington area as crews cleaned up a fuel spill, police said.
Maryland State Police said Tuesday morning that motorists could expect extended delays on northbound I-270 as three lanes near Montrose Road were closed for cleanup.
Troopers responded to the crash in Montgomery County around 6 a.m. They said the tractor-trailer was involved in a collision with another vehicle, and the driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to a hospital. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, police said.
