Daily flights are now offered year-round between Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) and Portland International Airport (PDX).
The news comes after an Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air seasonal route restarted between November 2023 and April 2024 between central Oregon and the state’s largest city after a hiatus during the pandemic.
The change “reflects strong business demand and airlines’ commitment to smaller communities like Redmond, ensuring vital air service for residents and businesses in central Oregon,” according to an RDM news release announcing the flight.

According to the Alaska Airlines website, daily one-way flights from RDM to PDX are available starting at $79 between now and New Year’s. Weekday flights seem cheaper, and flights on weekends and closer to the holidays are slightly more expensive.

Daily one-way flights from PDX to RDM between now and New Year’s are available from just $69, with weekday flights looking cheaper than flights on weekends and closer to the holidays.

Alaska Airlines’ new flight schedule will feature at least one nonstop flight per day between RDM and PDX year-round, with second flights added at the height of the travel season.
Flights from RDM to PDX will be offered primarily in the morning and afternoon, and flights from PDX to RDM will be offered primarily from noon until the end of the day.
