Trump declares that Election Day will be ‘Christian Visibility Day’ in Trans Event Snipe

Donald Trump said November’s election day will now be called “Christian Visibility Day,” following conservative outrage over an annual transgender event that happened to fall on Easter. (Watch the video below.)

At a rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Tuesday, the presumptive Republican nominee galvanized followers after President Joe Biden and other administration officials recognized International Transgender Day of Visibility — an observance that has been observed on March 31 since 2009.

Trump went after Biden on Saturday for issuing a proclamation ahead of the event, saying through a spokesman that his Democratic rival owed Christians an apology.

This time he went further.

“What on earth was Biden thinking when he declared Easter Sunday Trans Visibility Day?” Trump asked, drawing boos. “What a total lack of respect for Christians.”

“And November 5 will be called something else,” he continued, referring to Election Day. ‘Do you know what it’s going to be called? Christian Visibility Day, when Christians are showing up in numbers no one has ever seen before.”

Conservatives such as transgender Olympic champion Caitlyn Jenner and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) had raised objections to Biden’s statement. Fox News host Lisa Boothe said the recognition of the event on Easter was “a coordinated effort to remove God from our society and replace God with false gods, and in this case it is the trans community.”

Biden’s camp rebuked the “hateful” and “dishonest” outrage.

“As a Christian who celebrates Easter with family, President Biden stands for bringing people together and upholding the dignity and freedoms of every American,” the White House statement said. “Unfortunately, it is not surprising that politicians seek to divide and weaken our country with cruel, hateful and unfair rhetoric. President Biden will never abuse his faith for political purposes or profiteering.”
