Two in critical condition after double shooting in Kansas City

Kansas City, Mo. – Two people are seriously injured after a double shooting Tuesday in Kansas City.

The shooting was reported just after 4:30 p.m. in the E. 68th and Bellefontaine Avenue area.

When Kansas City police officers arrived on the scene, they found a shooting victim in the front yard of a home. A second shooting victim was found near E. 68th and Agnes Avenue.

According to KCPD, both victims were taken to the Research Medical Center in critical condition.

No suspicious information has been released at this time.

KC area organizations help homeless people in extreme heat

Detectives continue to work on the scene, looking for evidence and speaking with witnesses to learn what may have led to the shootings.
