Nov. 27 – VALLEY CITY, ND – A 48-year-old Valley City man, who was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 26, on an outstanding warrant, allegedly assaulted law enforcement officers during his arrest, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

David Compson is in the Barnes County Correctional Center on two counts of assault on a peace officer, terrorism and resisting arrest, the patrol said.

A state trooper located a vehicle occupied by Compson in Valley City on Tuesday around 6:20 p.m. Compson had an active felony warrant for terrorism, the patrol said.

The state trooper and a Valley City police officer removed Compson from the vehicle to arrest him on the outstanding warrant and he resisted, the patrol said. The patrol said Compson assaulted both law enforcement officers before being taken into custody.

The state trooper and Valley City police officer suffered minor injuries, the patrol said.
