MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota starts to warm up Friday, with temperatures reaching the 40s this weekend.
Despite the limited sunshine, the southwest wind will ensure that temperatures can rise around twenty degrees on Friday afternoon.
A flying clipper will have flurries over the Arrowhead on Friday morning, with another expected on Saturday morning.
A slightly stronger system will move across northern Minnesota Sunday through Monday, bringing rain and snow showers mainly north of Brainerd Lakes.
For the Twin Cities, this will continue our warm-up with highs in the low 40s on Saturday and Sunday.
Currently, only a few rain/snow showers are possible in the metro on Monday afternoon.
More clouds and wind will arrive on Monday, while temperatures will move in the opposite direction, with highs back in the teens by Wednesday.
Temperatures will be near average again by the end of next week, with no major storms in sight.
