BOSTON — Several tornado warnings were issued Sunday morning in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. So what do you do to stay safe when warnings are issued?
Once you’re in, you’ll need to do the following:
- Go to the lowest level
- Stay away from windows and doors
- Stay away from outside walls
- Crawl under something solid
If you are outside when the warning is given, follow these precautions:
- Immediately seek shelter in a sturdy building
- Cars and mobile homes are not safe
- Place yourself flat on the floor and face down, protecting your head
There are no reports of damage from Sunday’s storms yet.
